Aqua Plann Project is a joint action of the four organizations in charge of the hydrographic management of Abegondo-Cecebre SCI Reservoir: Council of Abegondo, Emalcsa, Aguas de Galicia, Regional Ministry of Environment, Territory and Infrastructure and the Rural Ministry of the Galician government. The overall objective of the AQUA-PLANN project is to preserve and protect the current and future ecological status of the hydrographic basins of both Rivers Mero and Barces, and the Abegondo-Cecebre SCI Reservoir.

The Provincial Delegation of Pontevedra has launched, in 2010, a project in order to develop a plan to demonstrate the viability of a sustainable management for wine production. This wine has Designation of Origin Rías Baixas, an area that covers a large part of the project Margal Ulla, thereby this will have less repercussions on the pollution of water.

This project was developed between 2004 and 2005. It was coordinated by the Delegation from Coruña in order to enhance the environmental and cultural value of the Mandeo River basin. This area covers ten councils within the Galician province A Coruña: Aranga, Bergondo, Betanzos, Cesuras, Coirós, Curtis, Irixoa, Oza dos Ríos, Paderne and Sobrado.

This project was coordinated by the Development Institute from Lugo (INLUDES), Delegation of Lugo, with the collaboration of the Environmental Ministry in the Galician Regional Authority Xunta de Galicia, between 2001 and 2006. Its objective was to preserve the alluvial and riparian forests within the area of the SAC Larga-Ladra-Támoga.

The non-governmental organization Wye and Usk Foundation is coordinating this project between 2010 and 2013. After the success of the project Life in Uk Rivers, this project aims at recovering species such as the Atlantic salmon within the valley of Irfon river (with the consecutive benefit for Margaritifera margaritifera), in Gales.

The non-governmental organization Foundation Hëllef fir d’Natur is coordinating this project between 2005 and 2011. It aims at the recovery of Margaritifera margaritifera within the valley of Our River, in the mountains of the Belgiam region of Ardenas.
