O día 22 de xuño de 2013, realizouse unha entrevista radiofónica á coordinadora do grupo de traballo do mexillón de río (Margaritifera margaritifera), Paz Ondina, profesora de zooloxía na USC.
O pasado 15 de xuño de 2013 realizouse no programa Caza e Pesca da Radio Galega (apartado Ríos e Montes), unha entrevista radiofónica ao Xefe do Servizo de conservación da Biodiversidade da Dirección Xeral da Conservación da Natureza, Jesús Santamarina.
A lo largo del pasado verano los distintos equipos de trabajo de la Consellería de Medio Rural, Aguas de Galicia y la USC que participan en el proyecto han comenzado a realizar diversas actuaciones previstas, destacando, en especial, el inventario de las poblaciones de náyade o mejillón de río (Margaritifera margaritifera), de Desmán Ibérico (Galemys pyrenaicus), y la caracterización de la calidad química y biológica de los cursos de la cuenca.
The Galician Conference and Exhibition Centre welcomes Margal Ulla presentation conference next Thursday from 9:00 hours onwards. The conference will be closed with the constitution of the project’s working group.
The Rural Ministry in the Galician Government coordinates, through the General Direction for Nature Conservation, the project Margal Ulla in order to recover the naiad –Margaritifera margaritifera- and the freshwater desman –Galemys pyrenaicus- in the Ulla River basin. This project also counts on the participation of Augas de Galicia and the University of Santiago de Compostela.
This initiative (with a total budget of 3,6 million Euros) seeks to foster the recovery of freshwater pearl mussel and Pyrenean desman populations in this fluvial basin.
Today, the director general of the Nature Conservancy chaired, in Santiago de Compostela, the first meeting among the work groups that will develop this programme, which also relies on the participation of the autonomous organization, Augas de Galicia, and the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
